The problem
The lower oven of a Thermador double wall oven was running roughly 40°F cold, ruining baking in a household that bakes daily. The upper oven was unaffected.
What we did
Testing showed the lower cavity temperature sensor had drifted well out of specification. We replaced the sensor, verified the bake and broil elements, checked the door hinge alignment and gasket, then ran a full calibration against a certified thermometer across three temperature bands.
The outcome
Both cavities now hold within a few degrees of the set point. Retrofitting into an original Craftsman cabinet cavity meant careful removal and refitting without damaging the surround.
