The problem
A Belmont Shore restaurant's modular ice machine had dropped to roughly a third of its rated output heading into a holiday weekend, and the ice was coming out cloudy and soft.
What we did
Heavy mineral scale had built on the evaporator plate and the condenser was loaded with grease aerosol. We performed a full nickel-safe descale, sanitised the water system, cleaned the condenser, replaced the inlet water filter and verified the harvest cycle timing against manufacturer spec.
The outcome
Output returned to rated capacity the same day. The client moved onto a quarterly maintenance schedule to prevent a repeat.
