The problem
A built-in Sub-Zero 648PRO in a Trousdale Estates kitchen had lost cooling in the fresh food section while the freezer stayed at temperature. Two previous companies had quoted a full sealed-system replacement.
What we did
We found the evaporator fan motor had seized and the defrost termination thermostat had failed, letting frost choke the evaporator completely. The sealed system tested normal on pressures. We replaced the fan motor and thermostat, cleared the frost, cleaned the condenser and verified a full defrost cycle before leaving.
The outcome
Full cooling restored in a single visit at a fraction of the quoted sealed-system cost. The unit has been back in normal service since.
